From Ladoix-Serrigny in the North, to ‘les Maranges' in the South, the Côte de Beaune forms a narrow strip covering only 20 kilometres, perfectly exposed to the rising sun. Here are born the most emblematic dry white wines in the world.
Maison Joseph Drouhin will allow you to discover these unique appellations through a new tasting honoring the ‘King' Chardonnay.
The Chardonnay is a world famous grape variety, widely planted in wine regions throughout the world. Native from Burgundy, its expression is at its best in Côte de Beaune, thanks to the perfect marriage of the limestone and clay in this unique ‘terroir' which help to glorify and most faithfully express the character of this delicate grape variety.
-Discovery of the ancient cellars (13th century) of the Maison Joseph Drouhin which cover more than 2 acres beneath the historical centre of Beaune.
- Following the visit you will taste 6 white wines. The tasting is accompanied by the local Burgundy speciality, 'Gougeres' (Small cheese puffs).

Côte de Beaune, 2011
